haha

PH in Paper

this is funny, because CHRIS ZEIGLER printed shit that I didn't say!

The myths question- I said that, yes, but he left out the part where I said "One man's dream is another man's dumpster" which I feel really made that quote sing.

We don't have any 7"s coming out on Human Ear, we have an EP coming out on GLORIETTE, next month, entitled "PURO INSTINCT" that will feature "Can't Take You Anywhere" plus 3 mas. More info on that soon.

this is hilarious

it was like, 40 degrees outside and i won't name any names, but just know that everyone pictured here was at least half-way drunk.

Blah blah blah

South By Southwest. My friend Jimi referred to it as a "rummage sale of crashing cymbals" and he couldn't be more right. For what it's worth though, it was pretty fun/funny and I enjoyed the time I spent hanging with friends or at the raw bar at Whole Foods. Also, major props to Dean Spunt for having kombucha on tap at the PPM showcase. that was a presidential move.

Here's a nice little review of our Mexican Summer/GvsB SXSW show @ Klub Krucial on March 19th via the Daily Texan

Pearl Harbor, newcomers to the city of Austin, played a gorgeous set of California-dreaming pop songs, and guitarist Skylar Kaplan, now 16 years old, played with the confidence and swagger of a live-music veteran. Equally amazing was sister Piper Kaplan’s stage presence — sweet and dreamy, she hypnotized the audience into submission with sonically warm vocals and warmer smiles.

nice little write up about our new 7"

check pinglewood.com to listen to the totally hi-ficial version of Slivers of You, streaming EXCLUSIVELY through their site.

Check it here.

Also, from our facebook page:

"Here's one of 5,480,484 band interviews AOL's spinner.com conducted in honor of next week's sacred SXSW ceremonies. i'm kind of a little puke, and that translates really well here.

echo show

if you're in Echo Park and you feel like watching a bunch of 8 year olds get wild go to the echo around 5pm. We're playing with the smith westerns. there's a flyer that goes with this event, but if you really want to be there you won't need a flyer to get there. so just think about it a little bit. no pressure, but we hope you can make it.

i'm considering, i'm considering, a move to Memphis, a move to memphis

also, HOLY SHIT! How good is the new Ariel Pinque "Round and Round"?! the future is here! Bow down all ye champions of mediocrity and bumpkins of human consciousness! burn a one today in celebration of tomorrow.
