South By Southwest. My friend Jimi referred to it as a "rummage sale of crashing cymbals" and he couldn't be more right. For what it's worth though, it was pretty fun/funny and I enjoyed the time I spent hanging with friends or at the raw bar at Whole Foods. Also, major props to Dean Spunt for having kombucha on tap at the PPM showcase. that was a presidential move.

Pearl Harbor, newcomers to the city of Austin, played a gorgeous set of California-dreaming pop songs, and guitarist Skylar Kaplan, now 16 years old, played with the confidence and swagger of a live-music veteran. Equally amazing was sister Piper Kaplan’s stage presence — sweet and dreamy, she hypnotized the audience into submission with sonically warm vocals and warmer smiles.

if you're in Echo Park and you feel like watching a bunch of 8 year olds get wild go to the echo around 5pm. We're playing with the smith westerns. there's a flyer that goes with this event, but if you really want to be there you won't need a flyer to get there. so just think about it a little bit. no pressure, but we hope you can make it.
